Minimalist analog clock

A clock is a ring of ticks, a ring of numbers and three hands that share a center. This one tells the real time.

How it's built

  • The face is a satellite in the center with --o-size-ratio: 24, as wide as the universe. See satellites.
  • Sixty vectors on orbit-11, spaced 6° apart by Orbit. inner-orbit hangs them inward from the ring; every fifth one is longer and brighter.
  • The numbers are twelve satellites on orbit-9. The first child sits at the top, so the list starts with 12.
  • Each hand is a single vector on its own ring. A lone vector points up; the ring turns with rotate and takes the hand with it. The lane and --o-size-ratio set where the hand starts and how long it is.

Variations

A quieter dial: no numbers, twelve hour marks and two hands.
